I came to SF last year in Arpil and like everyone else, left my heart in your city. I hope to come back this year about the end of April again and would love to get some advise from you wonderful SF experts. I stayed at The Chancellor based upon this web site and will be staying there again. I did the city tour, wine country, The Wharf, Sausalito, Alcatraz, shopping, saw Jersey Boys, rode the cable cars and trolley and did some walking around China Town. This time I would like to walk over the GG Bridge, visit Golden Gate Park, go to the moma, shop some more, maybe another play ( the Babylon play), maybe the Cliff House, and also I want to take a tour down to Carmel. I am a single woman and do not wish to drive so I will have to take a tour see this area. I so want to see that scenery. I will probably be there 3 1/2 days like last year. Is this doable and could you please give me a workable guide to this request. Your advise is always so helpful. Thanks in advance
help with second trip
Yes, you have enough time to visit the places on your list. My suggestion would be to....
Visit GG Bridge, Golden Gate Park %26amp; Cliff House on one day (Go to the GG Bridge first and then, get on the 28 bus to GG park where you can get off on Fulton Street and walk to the 8th Ave entrace where most of the tourist attractions are located. There is also a bus that you can transfer to as well if you decide not to walk.) When you are done with GG Park, take the 44 bus which stops inside Golden Gate Park in front of the Academy of Sciences (building under renovation that%26#39;s across from the De Young Museum) and then transfer over to the 38 Geary bus to the Cliff House. Fyi- The 38 Geary bus will also take you back down to Union Square.
Visit Carmel one day
MOMA, Shopping %26amp; Beach Blanket Babylon on one day - MOMA is located not very far from Union Square. I use to work near MOMA and have lunch at Union Square.
Hope you enjoy your trip.
