We are considering staying at the Hyatt close to Disneyland and getting the Southern California City Pass.
How far is it to Seaworld %26amp; the San Diego Zoo from there? How far is it to Hollywood? Miles %26amp; time to travel ? Huntington Beach?
Rental cars are very reasonable. Sometimes it%26#39;s easier to take a taxi. Any thoughts?
Thank You !
How Far? Drive or Taxi?
I am assuming that you mean the Hyatt that is right across the street from Dland. Good move.
Seaworld and the SD Zoo (both excellent choices) are about 1 1/2 hours away to the south (100 miles). Hollywood is about 45 minutes away to the north (35 +/- miles). Huntington Beach is about 20 minutes (15 miles away).
I didn%26#39;t see where you stated how long your stay would be, but I would recommend renting a car - there are several rental agencies right around DLand and several will deliver the car to your hotel. Or you can pick one up at the airport, should you be flying in.
Taxis are expensive and you travel on their time table. Having a rental car increases your mobility freedom and flexibility. The only, and it is a minor one, caveat, is that while driving to San Diego and HB will be no problem, Hollywood may be a bit intimidating for a first timer (e.g., multiple freeways, parking, etc.). But if you are adventurous and patient, it should prove to be a minor hassle.
BTW, the Hyatt Tower concierge is great. They will be able to assist you in everything you do (in fact, I believe that there are several car rental agencies located at the hotel).
Regardless, welcome to SoCal and you%26#39;re going to have a great time.

One good option, take advantage of the offer that comes with the CityPass booklet.
This will give you Bus Transportation from the Anaheim area to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and Universal Studios Hollywood on 3 different days for one low price, $72.
Here is a link to a copy of the actual SoCal City Pass booklet, with all the info...
