My family of 4 (2 small boys) is traveling to Mammoth in August. We%26#39;re staying there for 4 nights before heading west to the San Francisco area for a wedding. We%26#39;d like to see the main points in Yosemite and try to see Sequoia before heading west. We haven%26#39;t booked anything on the coast yet, but we%26#39;d like to arrive on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
My question is this...if we leave Mammoth on Monday morning, Aug. 11, is it possible to see Yosemite and Sequoia if we find a hotel for the night that night? Is it too much to do that and try to get to Point Reyes National Seashore by Tuesday night? I know we could probably see Yosemite, I%26#39;m just not sure if Sequoia will be completely out of the way.
Any advice is MUCH appreciated!
Thanks!
Mammoth to Yosemite to Sequoia NP - timeframe?
Too much. Skip Sequoia and focus on Yosemite (and I%26#39;m generally a Sequoia proponent) just be sure to visit one of the groves in Yosemite.
