Disneyland Hopper pass and fingerprint scan

I just caught somewhere online that Disneyworld started using fingerprint scanners for their Hopper Passes.

Does anyone know if Disneyland is doing this?

Anyone gone recently on the hopper passes?

We are taking the family this April and wanted to share our hopper passes when we were done. Does anyone know if we would have any trouble using the passes for 4 days and letting someone else use them another day?

tickets are non-tranferable

Honestly, how would they know?

Disneyland/CA Adv. parkhopper tickets are anonymous -unless they are annual passes, no name is associated with them, and they just scan them in. No one asks for ID or anything.

When we went, we unintentionally mixed up our passes all the time, and each person just used the first one he/she grabbed, and no one paid attention to who was using which on any given day - didn%26#39;t seem to be a problem.

And if a person still has days left on their a parkhopper pass and can%26#39;t use them, I don%26#39;t see it as a bad thing if they give them to someone else to use. The pass was paid for already - what%26#39;s the difference if the original user is using it, or another person is? You might say that Disney is getting shortchanged somehow - but if the original purchaser doesn%26#39;t get to use the full value of the pass, isn%26#39;t HE getting short-changed? How can that be more acceptable?

Besides, Disney likely doesn%26#39;t make their big bucks on park admission - they make it on all the BUYING we do in the park!!

.. just my opinion, of course...

If disney doesnt check iD when you enter-they cant check the ticket-cant see any reason you cant

give the passes to another party

thanks. I just wasn%26#39;t sure if Disneyland was following suit to Disneyworld.

I%26#39;ve read they use a fingerprint scan upon first us and it ties your name to your hopper pass. .this is supposely for your protection if you loose the pass they%26#39;re able to pull up your info with your fingerprint scan an replace the ticket.

i just wanted to make sure DisneyLAND doesn%26#39;t use this yet. . or at least not this coming April :-)
