Yosemite driving times

Trying to figure out where we might want to stay for a short visit (2 days) to Yosemite. Could someone give me an idea of driving times between these locations:

Oakhusrt and Yosemite Valley

El Portal and Yosemite Valley

Fish Camp and Yosemite Valley

Assume this would be some reasonable speed, maybe stopping at a viewpoint for a couple of minutes, but not stopping for walks, etc. This would be the first part of October, hopefully a week day, maybe Thursday and Friday.

Also, how long does the drive take from say El Portal on the Tioga Pass road as far as Tuolumne Meadows?

I%26#39;m trying to figure out how much of Yosemite we may be able to see in two days.

Thanks

Yosemite driving times

Assuming by ';Yosemite Valley'; you would mean the entrance, or western end of the valley, about where 120, 140 and 41 meet, then:

Oakhurst to YV: 1 1/2 hrs., maybe less ( 1 1/4)

Fish Camp: around an hour, maybe less

El Portal: about 15-10 minutes.

Once you reach the entrance to the valley, then you have a lovely scenic drive through the valley itself to get to the day use parking lots- about 20 minutes if traffic is on your side (plenty of ';lookie-loos'; for good reason!)

The mileages from the various entrances to the various attractions inside the Park are noted on the following link鈼?http://www.yosemite.com/tripplan/lodging.html

El Portal is located very near the Arch Rock entrance and Fish Camp is located very near the southern entrance. Oakhurst is about a 25 minute drive to the southern entrance and Mariposa is about a 35 minute drive to the Arch entrance, in case you would consider Mariposa as well since it would be closer to the Valley than Oakhurst.

Enjoy your visit!

Thanks for the information. I have a map, but I think just looking at mileage is a little deceiving, I assume it%26#39;s slow going, especially coming in from the South Entrance (we%26#39;ll be coming up from Fresno airport).
