I was wondering what is the best time to go to Malibu for a vacation. Is May a good time or is that when it gets crowded? Any help is appreciated.

May can still be gloomy and not great beach weather (although some days are). July %26amp; August are the best weather but also most crowded. September %26amp; October still good weather and less crowded with the exception of weekend.

May can be warm. It can also be foggy. Malibu is crowded from July 4 to Labor Day.

But you do know that there%26#39;s only one hotel in Malibu, right? There%26#39;s also an Inn and a couple motels.

Thanks for your thoughts juxie and yogachick. I%26#39;ve been to Malibu in October a couple of years ago and thought it was great then but this visit it looks like May is the only time for me to go.

Last time we stayed at the Malibu Beach Inn when it was the pink building, before it was due to be renovated. I do remember seeing another place down the street from our hotel that looked a bit more inexpensive so I was thinking of trying there this time. I don%26#39;t think I can afford the Malibu Beach Inn all new and shiny.
