Can anyone recommend fun things to do in the San Diego area for my not so mobile parents while we take the kids to the various theme parks.
Older Adults in San DiegoAre they able to climb in and out of buses or are they basically more sit and enjoy?
If able to climb in and out of buses or can be wheeled in a wheel chair, you can still take them to San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park and let them take the tram tours. Then take them to the shows and restaurant areas so they can sit and enjoy, while the rest of the family explores more. These are both possible if they%26#39;re ok with wheel chairs to take them in and out...and about.
If not, I%26#39;d opt for a room with a view at your lodging and have them enjoy just being there. Just seeing something different can often be a pleasant moment for someone who is less mobile.
Some more info on mobility and capability will help. Best to you.
Older Adults in San DiegoI agree with mini .Please define ';not so mobile';.
There are certainly things for seniors to do but we need to know what they are ABLE to do.
Thanks for your responses. Not so mobile, meaning that they cannot walk for much distances - bad knees. Any recommendations for tours or shows for them, etc.
First of all, I hope you have picked a hotel where they can be comfortable and rest at the pool/jacuzzi etc.
There are several tours of the city that they could take. One is a hop on hop off bus soo I don%26#39;t know if they%26#39;d get off at all to walk around at each stop or not.See:www.trolleytours.com
They could also take a harbor cruise which would be ralaxing. We do have live theater, but daytime shows are only on Sat,Sun.See:www.oldglobe.org

The zoo has a bus tour and then instead of going all over the zoo they could just stop and sit at one of the animal shows. OR they could walk a short way and sit whenever they like.
Thanks!!!
