Ok, I have been searching these boards and can%26#39;t find what I am looking for and I know it%26#39;s been discussed - I am wondering if kids (under 6/less than 60lbs) are required to use a booster in a shuttle van or taxi? I know the California law requires it in cars, but I swear I read somewhere on these boards that shuttles and taxis are ';exempt'; from the law...????? Can someone set me straight? Thanks.
Car Seats?
If you put the words:
car seat taxi
below the narrow green stripe (above) and click GO, you%26#39;ll see pages and pages of discussions on this topic. Bottom line, you are not required under the law to have a car seat if you%26#39;re in a taxi, shuttle, etc but to be safe, you should have one.
Good luck!
Car Seats?
They are considered public transportation and do not require car seats but as a parent I do recommend it.
They are exempt - but on the freeways of LA as well as on the congested side streets - unless your child is larger and is secure with a seatbelt - I highly recommend using one even if it is inconvenient. Some shuttles will provide one if you call in advance.
