Monterey to San Jose Int'l Airport - Drive time w/ traffic?

First of all, thanks to SO many of you local experts! I%26#39;ve been reading and reading getting ready for our family trip.

Sunday morning (8:30am) from Monterey area to SJC via US 101. Is this really only an 1.25 hour trip? My flight is scheduled for noon.

I, personally, always allow 1.5 hours, but I%26#39;m one of those people who builds in buffer time. Sunday morning at that hour is reaaalllly early for most people, so barring any catastrophe on the highway shutting down lanes of traffic, you should not have much traffic to speak of as you drive up that morning.
