Hi, I%26#39;m wondering if there are any new or newly renovated hotels in the area. I%26#39;ll be traveling with my 14 year old son at the end of March. We will be in the area for 4 nights. We will be visiting Joshua Tree and some of the other nearby parks during the day. We like newer, well-maintained, modern hotels with nice beds. We will have a car. Thanks
New Hotels? The large resorts such as the Westin Mission Hills(Heavenly Bed), Hyatt Grand champions,Esmeralda, Marriott Desert Springs are all upscale and maintained to high standards.
There is a fairly new Residence Inn on Cook in Palm Desert.
Good Luck!!
New Hotels?Hi Ricardo, Thanks for the help. I ended up booking at the Residence Inn. It looks like everyone on Trip Advisor loves it. Thanks for the Laguna Beach help too. The room types that I was looking for at the other hotels were sold out so I ended up booking at the Fairmont, Newport Beach. It looks like it will be pretty convenient for checking out the area attractions.
Hi Owings,
You are welcome. I forgot that I had helped you with Laguna Beach.
The Fairmont is a very nice hotel, however it is located near the airport and is really a business hotel. It would be good for sightseeing, but not particularly a great location if you want to be on or near the beach. It%26#39;s around a 10 to 15min drive on McArthur Blvd to reach Newport Beach and Corona del Mar.
Enjoy!!!
Hi Ricardo, Do you think I should switch to Casa Laguna? Just rec%26#39;d an email from them and they now have a room available for my dates. My son will be skimboarding so it looks like it will be more convenient. He also wants to visit the skateboard parks. Do you know of any that are nearby? Thanks
Hi,
You should definitely change your hotel to Casa Laguna. Laguna Beach is the best place to stay and the lcoation of Casa laguna is excellent for enjoying the beach.
There is a large skateboard park at Laguna Niguel which would be about a 15 min drive from Laguna Beach.
Have a good time!!!
