Extra Day San Diego

We will (wife and one of my teenage sons) be ending a 4 wk stay in California in July with 4 days SD %26amp; 2 days LA( Laguna Beach)and now have an extra day.

WE intend spending a few days relaxing in the sun. Should we tag a day onto SD or LA

I would vote for SD - try exploring the towns of La Jolla or Pacific Beach. Or spend it in Torrey Pines State Reserve (they also have a gliderport there with tandem paragliding/hanggliding options - would be fun for your son!)

FYI, Laguna Beach is about an hour%26#39;s drive from the southern-most tip of the city of Los Angeles. Are you returning home from LAX? If so, why not stay in Santa Monica -- even, if it%26#39;s just for one night? It%26#39;s a lively beach community and it%26#39;s only a 20-minute drive to LAX instead of an hour or two from Laguna or San Diego
