Waht is the most convenient way to reach GRand Canyon from SD?

Am I missing out on alot if I do not drive?

Kangaroo, I just answered a bit of this in your other post. You are missing a drive through a variety of desert terrains. If that is not interesting to you ,because of course you guys have desert in Australia,then just fly. southwest airlines has reasonable internal flights if booked in advance-(cheap goes quickest) the fly into Las Vegas an dI believe into phoenix,Arizona but I am not sure if they fly into flagstaff Arizona which has a small airport closer to the Grand Canyon. In either case it is a pretty drive from either of the first 2 cities.

I just checke dflights an dialrines. southwest does NOT fly into Flagstaff but does go to phoenix and Las Vegas. Theonly airline I found(and you can look on www.kayak.com to compare airlines an d prices)is US AIr which flies from SanDiego ,makes a stop in Phoenix and then goes on to Flagstaff(FLG)
