Is it adviseable to book accomodation ahead ?June is really not overly busy. You%26#39;d probably be able to find something when you got there. As long as it%26#39;s not the end of June near the July 4th holiday.
Is it adviseable to book accomodation ahead ?You are much more likely to pay more for your accomodations when you walk in from the street.
I would advise making a reservation early on if budgeting is an issue for you.
While I find that may be true at the casinos that%26#39;s not my experience at other places around the lake.
Thank you both for your advice.
Just one more question, which would you choose out of the below accomodations, or if you have any suggestions please advise
Inn by the Lake
Grand Residences by Marriott
Holiday Inn Express

I have recently stayed at the Marriott Grand Residence adn of the 3 it%26#39;s the nicest. The inn by the Lake is a distance from the village and canino area. It%26#39;s across the busy road from the lake but you could have a view through the traffic. I think the rooms are middle of the road. HI Express is nicely located if you like to be near things to walk to like dining and casinos.
Thanks for that what type of room did u stay at in the Marriot? I was looking at a 1 bedroom suite.
I stayed in a really large unit. It was 2 stories. One master upstairs one downstairs. Large living room upstairs with pull out couch %26amp; TV armoire and then lots of open space. It was a loft overlooking the downstairs living room and kitchen. There was also a full bathroom downstairs. So in total, two bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Kitchen had all the equipment you鈥檇 need for regular cooking and dining. Counters were granite. We also had a balcony overlooking the Gondola and shops below. Loved the pool and Jacuzzis too.
HI there, you may also want to consider the Marriott Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, we had a very nice 3 night stay here this past May. Loved the location, swimming pool and jacuzzi area and the friendly staff at the hotel.
We have also stayed at Inn by the Lake and enjoyed it, this is a much smaller place and has an intimate feel to it. We loved the bi-level jacuzzi here and our room was nice. They also offer packages, check out their website.
Evan%26#39;s Gourmet Cafe, Harvey%26#39;s 19 Kitchen and Cafe Fiore were places we enjoyed dining in SLT. If you want to go somewhere with a real mom n pop feel to the place, check out the Red Hut Waffle Shop. They make some really yummy Banana Pancakes here.
I hope you enjoy your time in Tahoe, it%26#39;s a beautiful area to spend time in. :)
Thanks for your help we are really looking forward to our trip.
