Does anyone know of a good, inexpensive hotel near Sea World for my family and I to stay in March? We have two small children ages 4 and nine with us. Also: is there anything for kids to do on Catalina Island? Or is it more of an ';adult'; thing? Thanks in advance!!

';Inexpensive'; means different things to different people so a number would be helpful. There are many areas of town from which driving to SeaWorld would take less than 15min. OldTown is one where you %26#39;ll find the La QUinta-Old Town and others. Some people also like the OldTown Inn which is ';inexpensive';but I find the street where it is located to be depressing, not dangerous, but not pretty.
Then there%26#39;s the Crowne Plaza in MissionValley which is inexpensive for our city BUT not the least expensive possible. The area is not pretty ,on the side of the I-8 freeway but the hotel itself is pretty.
There are various other chain motels like Days Inn etc.
This is not a inexpensive city so look around and tell me if any of the hotels I mentioned are OK.

Catalina doesn%26#39;t have much for younger kids. If it%26#39;s warm when you visit, there is a small beach where they could play in the sand. Other than that, they%26#39;d have the same activity options as adults: mini-golf, glass-bottom boat ride, bus tour of the island, hiking. There is a movie theater inside of the Casino building, but they only show one movie per week so you can%26#39;t count on it being something family-friendly.
