Does anyone know how the remodeling turned out at the Hyatt on Mission Bay?

The new rooms in the tower are plush(sectional sofa, large (LG brand) flat screen t.v.,plush beds/bedding,nice carpet,plush patio chairs on all balcony%26#39;s ect.) I don%26#39;t know if they have finished the Pool area ,lobby,resuraunts) though. If you have a rental car it is a good central location.

All the work is done and it looks great. Take advantage of Price Line while it lasts. The marina and towers rooms have views. I would avoid the garden rooms.

Which is better to stay at the Hyatt or Pacific Terrace?

I have not been there since the renovation but the reviews of people who have recently stayed there are mixed. The tower rooms have nice views but it is about 1mile to walk to the beach and restaurants.

IF you want to be right at the beach an d be able to walk to some restauratns without using your car then I guess the Pacific Terrace would be better. IF you use Priceline and get a good deal and if PRICE is important to you then you might give the Hyatt a try.IF you end up at the Hatt it never hurts to mention TripAdvisor and your concerns about the hotel because of what you have read on this site.

I already book a suite at the hyatt, 2Q and living room for $289 per night. The pacific terrace wil cost that for a room with no ocean view. $285 per night for 2 nights and then $71 in taxes.

IF you are asking ';Is the Pacific Terrace worth paying extra money';, then I cannot answer for you.

I always say ';Take your BEST deal';.That does not always mean the least expensive. It means try and get the most for your money.

The Hyatt should be nice if it is all done(and someone said it was).

If you want to go to a beach near the Hyatt a good beach is the beach that the Pacific Terrace sits on, it is called North Pacific Beach. (just north of Crystal peir. It is about 3 miles from the Hyatt.

I took my grandchildren to breakfast at the Hyatt this morning. The remodel of the hotel, swimming pool and restaurant looks great, especially the new pool and the over the water restaurant. The service and the view were outstanding at the restaurant. We all got a kick seeing the out of towners enjoying themselves in the pool.

Thanks so much. Is it wasm enough to swim now? I ope it is warm at the end of April.

We are having an unusual bunch of summer-like weather. It will be warm enough to swim in the heated pool if it is sunny. The ocean will still be cold.
