My husband and I are in San Jose today and will be leaving for San Fran around noon. We only have two days to see the city and tomorrow (Thursday) it is supposed to rain most of the day. So I have a few questions:
1. What time does the Union Square/Fishermans Warf area close down during the week?
2. Is there anywhere to park down by the warf? We have a rental car with us.
3. We have tickets for Alcatraz tomorrow and it is supposed to rain, will the tour still go on?
4. Are there any sports bars downtown or places where they may show a basketball game on TV?
Going to SFO today, need suggestions/advice
1. Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf is probably slower this time of year, but 9 p.m. is a probably a decent time to expect things still to be open. Union Square businesses tend to stay open late, stores close at 8 or 9.
2. Parking can be had at the Wharf. Bring lots of money. You%26#39;re just stuck with paying, sorry.
3. Alcatraz tours go on whatever the weather. Dress accordingly:

4. Lots of sports bars, but I%26#39;m blanking now. You can do a search for sports bars on this forum. There is one on the ground floor of the downtown Marriott, 4th and Mission streets, but there are plenty of others I can%26#39;t recall.

I toured Alcatraz once in the rain and still enjoyed it! Just bring a jacket and umbrella!
There is a nice sports bar on Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf-I think it%26#39;s called Knuckles (?) You may find some more info on the internet. I would think they%26#39;d show basketball.
Have fun-hope the rain isn%26#39;t too bad!
Thanks, We are from North Carolina and are trying to see the Carolina BB game tonight while sightseeing at the same time.
Knuckles is in the Hyatt on North Point, about a bock east of Columbus.
