Here are your DRIVING DIRECTIONS geocities.com/touringsfo/…DriveDir.html

“A Trip to Las Vegas…” is an augmenting report for Yosemite, Death Valley, etc.: geocities.com/iconoc/Articles/RoadJJ07.html

“A Trip to Anaheim…” is an augmenting report for Monterey/Carmel/Pacific Grove, Big Sur, etc.: geocities.com/iconoc/Articles/Road2N07.html

You should be aware that you cannot make your trip via Yosemite as the road%26#39;s closed; likely to open late in May.

Can%26#39;t help you with your visit to Colombia. Was in CalĂ long enough for the %26#39;plane to get fuel. That%26#39;s all.

this is great! thanks will check out the links.

Meant to also ask, ive checked out the climate details....doesnt seem like its going to be really hot March time - what season is it? sounds crazy i dont know this! but somehomw can not seem to find info!

Since you will be at the LAX airport, why don%26#39;t you fly to Las Vegas(1hr). There are inexpensive flights leaving all the time(www.southwest.com). I say this because after your long flight, do not try the drive to LV. You will need to drive in LA(think traffic and the other side of the road) and depending on the time of day it could take at least 6 or more hours.

It%26#39;s possible to rent the car in LV for your drive to San Francisco or wherever you are going. Most companies do not charge dropoff charges for LV and California.

The drive South from San Francisco is lovely and you should follow the suggestions of Swing.

The nicest beachs are in the South and especially in Orange County(Laguna Beach) and San Diego.

Also, have a look at www.mapquest.com(or any other map engine) for your destinations so that you understand the driving times and distances. This will help you plan your time better.

For hotles, etc, you should post the question in a specific city forum for the best replies.

Enjoy!!

thanks ricardo

we are a bit concerned about the drive after the flight, we have booked a car now though so not sure what to do.

we were going to fly but they changed our schedule and we were due a 6 hour wait in lax! so we thought driving would be good! maybe not!

we will have sat nav in the car and hope they sell red bull in usa.....!!!
