I have heard good and bad about Legoland. Does anyone know if it is kinda lame or not? I have a 9 year old and a four year old, neither one into Legos, but might be fun? Any ideas? Thanks!
Legoland?The last time we went my kids were 9.5, 6 %26amp; 18 months. This was the first time that the majority of the rides were to tame for my thrill seeker son (the 9.5 year old). It was also our 5thtrip over the past five years - so there wasn%26#39;t much new. He did love the water play area and some of the rides. My 6 year old was in heaven - everything was her size and her speed. They both really started to enjoy the park around age 3.
My personal opinion of the park is that I am sad my son is outgrowing it. I find it to be very clean, family friendly, more relaxed and less in your face than other parks; better than average food for a park, kid sized restrooms and more. Downside - when the park is crowded - the lines can move very slowly. Also it is not Disneyland so could pale in comparison.
Check out the official Legoland site and the rides and activities and see if they are things that your boys will enjoy. If you have the time and budget - I personally think it it worth it.
Legoland?It may be ';kind of lame'; for older children but the younguns seem to like it.It was built with children under 10/11 in mind.
If you go without huge expectations you will enjoy it. The rides are really geared for kids under 12. The water fun zone is really cool so it%26#39;s a good idea for your kids to wear swimwear under their clothes and take towels.
If you don%26#39;t make comparisons to Disneyland you will like it. But it is no where near as magical and exciting as Disneyland. You can go through the whole park and ride every ride in half a day. The coasters are all ';mini'; coasters. The largerst one is comparable to Mullholand Madness at California Adventure. Otherwise there are little boats they can drive in the water, little cars they drive around a mock lego city (they have to obey traffic lights), their are shows, a cool climbing fort, a pirate zone, mini-land you can walk through or take a boat tour, a safari ride where the animals are all made of legos, the 3-d show is pretty cool, and there are really tame rides like the fairytale boats, helicopters, etc.
Check out the legoland website and height restrictions. You%26#39;ll find your 9 year old will probably be able to go most of the rides without an adult and may be tall enough to escort your 4 year old.
