LA to Vegas

Hi does any one know how long it will take me to get from LA to Las vegas by car or bus and the rough price it is to catch a bus there or is it better flying?? Thanks.

LA to Vegas

There are many post on this subject - but by car on a good day without traffic or stops 4.5 - 5 hours (although depending on where you leave from it has been done in 4 and it has also taken us 10 before with traffic or an accident). The drive is almost all desert - which some people find boring but many visitors and some of us locals really enjoy.

The flight is an hour in the air. Depending on where you stay - Burbank is an easy airport to fly out of. Fares start at $39 one way on Southwest Airlines (cheaper than a tank of gas)

Not sure on bus recommendation.

Flying will be the fastest (about an hour in the air) plus getting to the airport 1 hour before departure. So, the whole process will take about 2 hours. (The Las Vegas Airport is within 10 minutes of the Las Vegas Strip).

Drive time depends on when you leave. We have rush hour periods between 6:00 and 9:00 and between 15:00 and 19:00. And, of course, you%26#39;ll have to add in the time it takes to pick up the car from the rental company, put gasoline in it at the end of your trip and drop it off in Las Vegas. All in all, count on a minimum of 6 hours for all of that.

The buses take a minimum of 6 hours plus the time it takes to get to the starting point for the bus trip.

Please see America from the ground, whenever possible. It%26#39;s just not the same country from 35,000 feet in the air.

I%26#39;d drive, but some people prefer the bus:

Is there anyway to put this question in a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question)?????

I swear this gets asked every week.

This one was different...most people don%26#39;t ask about the bus!
