Wine Tour

Hello,

I%26#39;ve gotten some great help for our honeymoon planning on here and was wondering if I could get some more. We%26#39;re going to be in San Francisco the first week in April. We really want to do a wine tour of Sonoma and/or Napa. Could you guys make some recommendations of who to go with? Should we book ahead or just book when we get there.

Thanks!

Wine Tour

Try searching this site for the words ';wine%26#39; and ';tour.'; There have been a handful of suggestions by other travelers, some quite enthusiastic. The locals tend to drive up on their own, but a tour is probably the best way for tourists to do it. There are so many wineries and it%26#39;s always nice to have someone else do the driving if you are going to do a one-day trip from SF.

Wine Tour

I%26#39;ve recommended this tours several times and I%26#39;ll do it again-I LOVED the Wine Country tour through Extranomical Tours-

www.extranomical.com

It was a small group in a very comfortable ';mini-bus'; (much better than the big buses on some tours)-we visited five wineries, both small and large. The smaller ones had very generous complimentary tastings! We stopped for a wonderful lunch at the Sonoma Cheese Factory, and on the way back to San Francisco stopped for a breathtaking photo op on the Marin County side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I would recommend booking in advance. Don%26#39;t worry about the weather-I took this tour in the rain and still had a great time!
