our trip report 4/18-4/23,wont be to long(i hope)

myself and mrs. donboy took our 4 year old grandson for his first DL experience,we stayed at the anaheim marriott suites in GG,the suite part was great to get some privacy at the end of each long day,we took ART everyday there and back,the idea of ART is great the working model is less than great,arrival and times are about as predictable as the stock market,workers were uniformily nice,the wife still recovering from knee replacement surgury used her own scooter the ART buses have lifts,but work less than expected,have to wait for another bus.because my wife using the scooter we went in the disabled lines,almost EVERY ride had these lines(matterhorn being an exception),usually enter thru the exit,there was virtually no wait at any ride any time of day,the longest wait we had for any ride even on a saturday night was 10 minutes at splash mountain.what a life saver when your bringing along a 4 year old,we enjoyed all the rides,even a big guy like myself could easily fit on every kids ride and adult ride.,places we ate at in DL,rancho del zocalo,redd rockets pizza,blue ribbon bakery,cafe orleans,we weren%26#39;t aware that at most casual places you grab a tray and plop your food and drinks on the trays and line up to pay,make sure whoever has the drinks has good balance.i%26#39;d rate the above places as average food,at downtown disney we ate at rainforest cafe and tortilla joes,both were good,also had breakfast at goofys kitchen,found it to be surprisingly good(our buffet was comped)enjoyed all the characters,max,goofys son,got on the wife%26#39;s scooter and tried driving it,our grandson LOVED THAT! ';grandma,he%26#39;s driving your scooter!';

fantasmic,fireworks,and parade all enjoyable,we had a set schedule from the book ';unoffical guide to disney'; never once stuck to it,just went from ride to ride.

all in all a great time,well worth the money.alot of walking by the 5th day i was whooped,not like lying on the beach in maui. 32.00 bucks for the picture with goofy,the wife paid.

if you have walking troubles dont be embarrased to rent a DL scooter and take advantage of the disabled short lines or at least use fastpasses,amazing how few people use fastpasses and stand inline for 50 minutes.
