Hi - quick question for those in the know...
Is this a bad idea due to likely hot weather?
Should we expect it to be crowded?
Is there any discount if you go later in the day; is it typically open late this time of year?
Thanks in advance for any %26amp; all replies
Disneyland in late Aug.

It will be hot no matter where you go during that time of the year
Should we expect it to be crowded?
Yes

Disneyland is open late in the Summer but does not offer discounts like a half day ticket
Disneyland in late Aug.
Temps should be 75 to 85 -- not much different than home except there will be much less humidity. Summer is DLs busiest time so, yes, it will be busy but millions of people happily visit during that time of year. The park stays open late during the summer.
Thanks for the speedy replies
I saw something online re/S. Cal CityPass that gives you discounted admission for many of the top attractions for $247
Any thoughts on this as a viable option?
costco is offering the southern california pass for 217.00 for adults, 174.00 for children. go to www.costco.com , and click on gifts and tickets.you do have to become a member of costco or have someone who is a member get them for you.
it is a great deal if you want to do more than disneyland.
Thanks - that%26#39;s a good tip re/Costco
We are members in NJ - that%26#39;s OK, yes?
What age are considered %26#39;kids%26#39;
Actually, Non-members can purchase from Costco.com, with an 5% surcharge. But it still makes the Southern California CityPass cheaper than anywhere else that sells them. (and they come with free shipping from Costco.com).
When we lived in LA we took visitors to Disneyland at all times of the year. The weather ranged from hot, cold, dry, rainy and just right. We even went on a July 4 weekend one year. Even if it%26#39;s hot and crowded, you%26#39;ll have a good time. Sundays are best during the summer as that%26#39;s the transition day for people arriving/departing on tours.
It%26#39;s not a bad idea if your into 110+ temps and lots and lots of people. August is the hottest month in So. Cal. The parks will be open until at least 12 midnight, maybe even later. I think you get a discount if you buy a ticket at the box office when there is only about 3 hours of park time left but I%26#39;m not 100% sure on this.
adults are considered 10 and up, children 3-9.
call your local costco to see if they have them in store, or you can buy them online.
good to know about the 5% over reg.cost for non-members.
oops, I meant 100+ temps not 110!
