Silver Creek Sports Complex

We will be attending a 4 day event here for the first time and have no idea of where to stay to be within a 10-15 minute drive. We will have kids also (11,12) so would prefer an area with kid friendly restaurants. How far is the airport to the complex?

If there was no traffic, SJC would be a mere 10-15 shot up Hwy 101 from this Sports Complex. But Hwy 101 along this stretch is usually quite congested in both directions and full of crazy drivers and accidents. Be careful with merging, etc.

This Silver Creek/Evergreen area is a fairly new, attrociously laid-out development in suburbia. The ritzy immediate areas are boring. The non-ritzy immediate areas are shady.

The hotels nearest the Sports Complex are on a stretch called Monterey Hwy. I can not in good conscience recommend anyone to stay there.

You%26#39;ll want to stay a little farther (not distant, just a bit of driving) either in downtown San Jose or downtown Campbell.

Areas of good interest closer to the Sports Complex might be any number of strip malls along Blossom Hill Rd, around Oakridge Mall or around Eastridge Mall. These are also in pure suburbia, both about 15 minutes from the Sports Complex.
