Suggestion for tours

We will be in SF this summer. Our children (13 and 10 years) will be with us for the first weekend before goung on a summer course. Thus my wife and I will be free from June 30 till July 4 when we have to pick up the children and travel to lA.

1. Does anybody have suggestions how we could spend the first of couple of days to keep the kids entertained as well as seeing something in SF?

2. Are there any tours that anybody could suggest which would be worth taking? I understand thatthere are a lot of 1 day tours but we really would prefer something longer say 3-4 days. I understand that the Chinese community do organise many such tours so does anybody have information of these or any other tours?

3. As for hotels, we don%26#39;t mind staying in SF or at Oakland since we can fly out of either airport? Are there any suggestions for reasonably priced and conveniently situated hotels in either place since we will not be driving? Would it be correct to suppose that Oakland hotels would tend to be cheaper than at San Francisco?

Many thanks for informing about the geocities website. Let me clarify that what I am trying to find out is for the period from June 30 to July 4 when I would like to learn about tours (presumably by coach) lasting hopefully 3 -4 days where people would be taken to various attractions or nearby cities. Sorry for not having made it clear and thanks for your reply which will definitely be useful when the kids are around.
