Has anyone used this service from this hotel? How does it work and cost? We won%26#39;t have a car our first day and would like to stock up the kitchen. We will be going to Target for a few things though, but the less we have to carry back on the bus the better. Especially dairy, frozen, fruits %26amp; veggies.
Residence Maingate Grocery delivery
Check out the Albertson%26#39;s topic. I%26#39;m not sure of the maingate, but when I phoned La Quinta they say people order groceries all the time. I%26#39;m sure maingate does this on a reg. basis....lulubelle
Residence Maingate Grocery delivery
We stayed at Residence Inn Maingate and used the grocery service a few times. Give the front desk a grocery list before 9am and they will go to Albertson%26#39;s for you and put the food in your fridge the same afternoon. They charge the cost to your room and there is no extra cost. We also got a copy of the till slip to look at. We knew about the service before we got to the hotel so we used it to have food brought to us to make suppers. We also ate out but sometimes we got off the tour bus at 7pm and the kids wanted to go for a swim and not go to a restaurant. Plus on busy weekends the line up at the restaurants can be long. I ordered frozen lasagna and rotisserie chicken and the fixings and a case of water and pop and whatever else you want. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and if you need more dishes you could probably ask the front desk. We didn%26#39;t rent a vehicle so the grocery service gave us time to tour instead of shopping for food. The hotel also has two gas stainless steel barbecues which we didn%26#39;t use but I saw other people using it.
thanks for the great info, I think I%26#39;ll try to do it before we go, so it%26#39;s there when we check in or shortly after! Much easier than lugging grocies on the bus!
Hi there,
This a great service that the Residence Inn offers, however, you need to be checked in first to take advantage of the service. We tried to order groceries before we arrived but the hotel said they could not help us.
First you must check in, then place your order for the next day. For that first day, if you want anything, you%26#39;ll find yourself walking across the street to the Target store. However, with the breakfast being so generous, you don%26#39;t really need anything. We packed granola bars and nuts in our suitcases and took bananas and apples from the breakfast buffet. That covered our first day. By the next day, you%26#39;ll have your grocery order. Buying Disney food is never a problem -- it%26#39;s only paying for it that it%26#39;s a problem!! Take advantage of the full kitchen in the Residence Inn.
