At Denny%26#39;s? You can do much better. Don%26#39;t waste your time. This is a chain restaurant and is only good if nothing else is open.

There is one near UCLA in Westwood that would be close. It is a couple of blocks north of Wishire on Tiverton.

When it comes to ';chain restaurants'; for breakfast, I%26#39;d recommend the International House of Pancakes (known affectionately as IHOP). The closest one is at:

This restaurant is on Santa Monica Bl, just east of La Cienega Bl. From the Crowne Plaza Beverly Hills (which, btw, is not in Beverly Hills and is in an area that does not have great public transit!), take the following public transit route (I assume you won%26#39;t have a car).

Ride Metro Bus 14 (marked ';DOWNTOWN LA';) heading north

From: BEVERLY DRIVE %26amp; OLYMPIC BLVD (NE corner)

To: SANTA MONICA BL %26amp; CRESCENT DR (SW corner)

Walk to the corner of Santa Monica Bl %26amp; Canon Drive

(1 block west)

Ride Metro Rapid 704 (marked ';DOWNTOWN LA - UNION STA';) heading east

From: SANTA MONICA BL %26amp; CANON DR (SW corner)

To: SANTA MONICA BL %26amp; LA CIENEGA BL (SE corner)

Walk 1 block east on Santa Monica Bl to the restaurant.

Trip time is about 21 minutes. Buy a $5 DAY PASS from the driver of the first bus for unlimited rides on the metro buses and metro rail trains for the day,

As others have said, Denny%26#39;s is just a chain restaurant and their pancakes aren%26#39;t anything special.

If you really want pancakes and have a car, you should really try The Griddle Cafe. It%26#39;s about a 15 min drive from you hotel. My advise is to get there early as it can be over an hour wait.

Also close to your hotel - John O%26#39;Groats. It%26#39;s straight down Pico, to the west. The BEST pancakes in town, to me!

There are so many great breakfast places in LA that it would be a shame to go to the chain, Denny%26#39;s. It%26#39;s not that great at all. Some of the best pancakes in the area are to be found at the Griddle on Sunset/Fairfax. Check out other restaurant recommendations at www.chowhound.com, www.yelp.com, and www.citysearch.com.
