WHICH Hollywood?

Are Rodeo Drive, the ';Star'; handprints, chinese theatre, etc in the same area?

If we came to Hollywood for just one day.....I%26#39;m thinking the Chinese Theatre %26amp; the star handprints. Also, I want to go to the Grove to the American Girl Place. Is it possible to do one in the morning %26amp; the other in the afternoon/evening?

WHICH Hollywood?

Yes, it is possible to do one in hte morning and other in the afternoon. Rodeo Drive is about a 25 minute drive from Chinese theater. The Grove is about a 25 minute drive too (but can be longer if traffic is bad).

I am assuming you have a car?

Also, since you mention American Girl Place...a fun agenda for the day might be:

1) Grove: 10:00 a.m. Walk through there and also Farmers Market. Reserve lunch at American Girl Place which would be fun (my niece enjoyed going there and its a great place to take pictures.)

2) Depart the Grove, and drive over to Hollywood and HIghland. There is a huge underground parking lot which always seems to have parking space. You can see the Hollywood sign, Chinese theater, and perhaps take in a movie at The El Capitan. This is perfect place for a family movie.....they have an organ player (best in the United States), usually some type of act; and then a family friendly movie.)

There are family places back at Hollywood and Highland to enjoy eating at afterward (or you might want to then drive over to Rodeo Drive?)

WHICH Hollywood?

Regarding Rodeo Drive, I go to the area at least once a week, and I can tell you that it is simply a set of high-end shops where most of us would never go. If you must go, park in a metered space nearby and quickly walk the length of it (between Wilshire and Santa Monica Blvd). Also, this would be a good place to go in the evening after much of the traffic is gone, and you can window shop.

Another shopping street that I would recommend is Robertson Blvd in West Hollywood.

When you go, be sure to get a map when you rent a car. Most of the streets are on a grid, so it is very easy to navigate with a basic map by your side.
