My husband and I are going to LA with another couple. We are looking for advice and ideas. We will be staying at the Omni and attending the Aretha concert on 2/14 st the Nokia and George Benson on 2/15 st Walt Disney Concert Hall. We have reservations on 2/14 at Nick and Stef%26#39;s before Aretha. Is that a good choice or should we look further? We are trying to decide where to eat on 2/15 before George Benson. Someone has recommended either Cicada or Pantina. I should add that this whole trip is a surprise for our friend%26#39;s wife who will be celebrating her 50th birthday.
Thanks so much for any opinions. They are needed.

Patina is right at the Disney Concert Hall, Cicada a bit further afield. I believe that there is a free shuttle that makes the rounds of some downtown LA restaurants and the Music Center area, so not much of a difference there. Why not look at some reviews on the chow.com LA board, and the restaurant menus, and see if one looks better to you?

chowhound.com is the best site for this question.
For a concert at Disney, Patina is a great idea, but there are so many good restaurants downtown - Water Grill, Ciudad is very festive...
Know that a reservation on the 14th is near impossible, so you%26#39;ll probably have to keep what you have. Never been to Nick and Stef%26#39;s - why did you choose it?
