Hollywood Greyhound Bus Station

I will be taking a late night bus from the Hollywood greyhound station to San Francisco. Since I will be travelling with luggage, I was wondering if anyone knows how far in advance I can check in my suitcase or if there were lockers available for me to put them in so I don%26#39;t have to carry them around all day until my scheduled bus leaves.

Hollywood Greyhound Bus Station

Where is the Greyhound station in Hollywood?

Hollywood Greyhound Bus Station

It%26#39;s on Cahuenga, 1/2 a block north of Hollywood Blvd, across from the Sharky%26#39;s.

I called them and they said they don%26#39;t have lockers, and you can check bags 30 minutes before departure. I%26#39;m thinking you could check your bags at either the Roosevelt hotel or the Renaissance hotel bell desk until closer to your time to leave. I know you can do that in Vegas with no problems.

Whatever you do, have some food at Sharky%26#39;s across the street from the station. Great mexican food at very reasonable prices!

You can leave your bags at a hotel in the area. However, I would strongly recommend you to consider taking the train or the Megabus, or flying instead. I%26#39;ve taken the Greyhound on this route specifically and it%26#39;s not pleasant, with many stops. It takes 11 hours for a route that only takes 6 hrs driving. If you take the train, it goes along the coast, so at least you%26#39;re seeing some great scenery along one of the most scenic routes in the US, in the morning. Megabus is newer and cheaper, and I think a bit faster. And the flight is only $40-50 if you book at least a month ahead (kayak.com, southwest.com, virginamerica.com, etc), which is pretty much same as Greyhound.

If you have an option i would take the train aswell. I took Greyhound the past year from Hollywood to Vegas and i was surprised how pleasent it was(or maybe i was just preparing myself for the worst)

But if there is an option for you to take the train along the coast, i would deffinatly do that instead
