Hi

I,m in L.A for a month in may and its far too expensive to stay in a hotel. Is there anywhere where there are short term apartment rentals preferbly in west hollywood or santa monica

Thanks

There is Oakwood Corporate Housing (www.oakwood.com). One in Hollywood and one in Marina del Rey, which is adjacent to Santa Monica. They are furnished apartments for short-term rental, but I don%26#39;t know if that%26#39;s less expensive than a hotel.

I would also try Craigslist and Westsiderentals.com

How much are you looking to spend?

You could also look into craigslist for short term rental in a roomate situation for example

Look into a sublet on www.craigslist.org. That would be cheapest.

Thanks for the tips,I,m looking to spend no more than $1500 for a month.

That%26#39;s a good budget and you should be able to sublet a good 1-bedroom in a nice walkable area at that price.

check out the Ocean Park Hotel, in Santa Monica near w.la border.

I think I,m gonna stay in west hollywood,as I,ve been there before. Craiglists is a good source but most lettings seem to be from now to feb/mar. I,m hoping for somewhere near the grove.

Yes, it%26#39;s probably best to wait a few months. It%26#39;s rare that a subletter is looking to rent months in advance. You shouldn%26#39;t have a problem renting a large studio or a 1-bedroom in WeHo at that price.

VRBO.com might be worth a shout.
